  1. The Web Cert has not worked for over a week. When I try to submit it, it says "Our records indicate that the claim for week ending Saturday, November 28, 2009 is complete. For information on the status of that claim, click here. "
But when I click "Here" it then tells me "Our records indicate that you have not filed a certification to claim benefits. This information is updated daily, please check this site periodically."

You wonder why your phone rings off the hook? Perhaps if you updated the recordings on the phone lines, and fixed the website there would be no need to take so many calls.

Speaking of calling, I love how I call first thing in the morning and hear "Please try your call again on the next business day".

I need a job and can free up many more jobs if you hire me to run UI. I will be firing everyone there tied into the web issues and lack of updating phone recordings and hiring people that actually WANT to work.
I'm going to ABC on this, you people are lost.

  6. I've never had a problem with web cert, only if you click on one of the many choices you may get a commercial to help you with something else, and the info on your check status is'nt up to date..

  10. Despite the previous comments, while it took a while to get on the phone with someone to fix an error I made and reopen a claim, both staffers I spoke with were courtious, understanding, and most importantly helpful in getting me straightened out. Since then, this site has worked as intended. Do it right and be patient!

  12. I realize that the phone volume has increased due to unemployment, and I have to agree with the previous comments above regarding the inefficient
web-site and call center. However, once you do get a staff member on the phone, they are friendly, understanding, and helpful in rectifying your question(s) and/or claim.
You should defiantly have some strategy planning around improvement on the web-site. And also have an option for on-line contact email between claimant and EUC service rep.

  13. Be careful about taking temporary jobs while receiving unemployment benefits in Massachusetts! If your temp salary is lower than what you were making prior to your initial claim, your benefits will be reduced dramatically! I made the mistake of trying to improve myself and attempt to get off the unemployment cycle, so I took a temporary job at a much lower pay rate. As a result, my unemployment benefits dropped to match my much lower temporary salary instead of my much higher original salary prior to filing for unemployment benefits! It's not worth taking a part-time/temp/lesser paying job (that you could possibly be laid-off rom, because your unemployment benefits will suffer!

  14. Is anyone else having trouble certifying for the week of Dec 11, 2010? When I try, it says "Our records indicate that the claim for week ending Saturday, December 11, 2010 is complete. For information on the status of that claim, click here. Then when I click on "here", it says "Our records indicate that you have not filed a certification to claim benefits. This information is updated daily, please check this site periodically.

I am just a couple weeks into my first extension.

  15. I love when you call 3 minutes before they open and they say they are closed and you call right before they open and it takes you 20 minutes to get through cause all lines are busy.

  17. I don't know if anyone else is having trouble with filing today. I have tried through webcert and receive message to file telecert. When I enter my social security # telecert tells me my pin is not active. If my pin is not active it means I have never filed a claim. No wonder we are all struggling. We end up paying late fees, banks fees, etc. when we aren't able to file. We have been playing this game off and on for 2 years and it is taking it's toll. Shame on me for taking my mother out for a cup of fish chowder on Mother's Day. If I hadn't done that I wouldn't be stressing today.

  18. I cant even get onto telcert . It tells you on web-cert to request payments every week but after looking at the movie on how to do it I realized that there is no option to do it yet . I think this is on purpose because they want it very difficult to file . It's been getting worse every year with Mass, this is just another way to keep you from getting anything from them . the first time I filed with them a few years ago they were very nice , then each time after they've become more rude ,evasive and hard to reach. It's sad realy.

  21. I got this message when I called to file my claim today Sunday January 5-2014. "The week you have claimed has been used to satisfy a compulsatory week disqualification. You are not entitled to a benefit check this week." "You may file on December 11-2014'
What thd heck is this an error message? Why cant I file this week? Congress will pass the extension. Does this have to do with no payments after 12-28-2013?
